My story is a classic grass to grace tale.  I have not always been an expert SEO writer. In fact, I accidentally became an  SEO content writer.

Prior to my engagement with SEO content writing, I wrote creative pieces and published them on Poemhunter.com and Nantygreens.com. I even started a literary blog called Textthoughts to curate literary pieces from emerging writers in Nigeria. All these engagements were a result of my passion for the written word.

At the time when I was involved with creative writing, I was also working as a primary school teacher earning less than $50 as my monthly salary. I wasn’t particular about the money. I was passionate about my job and thoroughly enjoyed teaching the rudiments of English grammar and phonics.

My initial experience with SEO content writing was as a news reporter with Opera News. When I left Opera News, I worked with another news agency, Timernews. While working with these news outfits as a journalist, I acquired and mastered the skill of carrying out in-depth research for newsworthy pieces and creating captivating content that would rank in the Google search engine.

One fateful day, as I was scrolling through Facebook, I was fortunate to discover a vacancy for the role of an SEO content writer advertised in a post by Benjamin Okoro (CEO Authority Guest Post).

With the little knowledge gained about SEO content writing from working with Timernews and Operanews, I applied for the role. Luckily, I got the job.  

During my stint at Authority Guest Post, I had the opportunity to research and write on numerous projects for B2C customers spanning niches such as travel guides, survival, hiking, health and fitness, cooking recipe, roofing, plumbing, construction and a host of others.  

Working with Authority Guest Post enhanced my knowledge of content management systems such as WordPress.  I also developed an expertise in on-page optimization as I was in charge of uploading the content written on the different client’s websites. 

I also became acquainted with the use of keyword research tools such as Ahref and Semrush and data tracking tools such as Google Analytics.

In 2020, I joined the freelance platform, Legiit where I set up my content writing service under the pseudonym “Textthoughts”.

Since I joined Legiit, I have had the opportunity to work on several B2B projects through my professional engagement with industry experts such as Chris M. Walker, Jim Sabellico, Gabriel Machuret, Omer Lewinsohn and many others who have made a significant impact on my life.

Through Legiit, I have had the privilege to work with website designers, SEO strategists, local business owners, agencies, as well as affiliate marketers. In fact, I have developed content for  folks from all walks of life-from Chiropractors to Cannabis Companies. 

In 2022, due to my desire to acquire an advanced knowledge in content creation and content marketing, I decided to acquire an Msc degree in Digital Campaigning and Content Creation at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
